Surfing in Surigao del Sur is widely known and have been one of the local and tourist attractions. This extreme sport can be found in Cantilan and Lanuza. Another sport being played is the skimboarding in which several municipalities has been attracting tourists. Go chase the Magkawas Falls and take a dip in its refreshing catch basin. Nearby, you can find the striking Lanuza Marine Park, an impeccable spot for diving and snorkeling!

Surigao del Sur is a province of the Philippines located in the CARAGA region in Mindanao. Its capital is Tandag City. Surigao del Sur is located at the eastern coast of Mindanao and faces the Philippine Sea.

Getting there by air, there are daily flights from Manila to Butuan City, where the nearest airport is located.

By sea, if coming in from the north the nearest port is Lipata (Surigao del Norte) with ferries running to and from Manila, Cebu and Liloan (Southern Leyte). Nasipit port located in Butuan is closer the southern part of Surigao del Sur.

By land, from Davao City’s Ecoland terminal, take a bus bound for Mangagoy (Bislig). From Butuan Integrated Bus Terminal in Butuan City (Agusan del Norte), there are buses that go directly to Mangagoy (Bislig). From San Franz (Agusan del Sur) there are also buses and vans bound for Mangagoy (Bislig).
